Cambridge Internet Solutions is an independent software studio and engineering-management consultancy based in Cambridge, United Kingdom. We build software for organisations of every size — and lead, structure and scale the teams that build it.
Why we exist
Good software and good engineering are the same problem, seen from two ends.
Some organisations need software built — an idea taken from a sketch to something in production. Others have the software but are stuck: ownership is unclear, the cadence has drifted, the structure no longer fits the work, or no one is making the decisions that need making.
Cambridge Internet Solutions exists to step into either situation — as the team that builds the product, as interim leadership, as an independent assessor, or as a steady pair of hands during a period of change — and to leave something that works and a team able to run it.
We work with founders, engineering leaders, established businesses and boards across the UK and Europe, from first-team startups to mid-scale and enterprise.

We're in the codebase and in the team — the standups, the planning, the hiring, the pull requests — because that's the only place software ships and change actually happens.

The work is about the team, not us. We keep a low profile, protect confidences, and let the results speak after we've gone.

Findings and plans are written so a board and a junior engineer can both understand them. Clarity is part of the deliverable.
